About Us
High school classmates but never sweet hearts, we have known each other for a very long time. We first met each other in 6th grade at a private school in Topeka, KS. Whether we actually spoke to one another before the mid-year play, neither of us can say, but we do remember that we were lowly peasants in the play with no speaking roles. Surprisingly enough, this interaction didn't ignite a romance. It wasn't until our senior year of high school that we became close friends and until after high school and a year of college that we started dating.
After getting married in July 2009, we finished our last two years of college at John Brown University. We graduated in May of 2011 with business degrees. We now live in Fayetteville, AR and have full-time jobs in the retail vendor world. In April of 2011 we began to look at houses and found one that we had to have. After trudging through the short sale process (4 months long!) we landed ourselves a fixer-upper with lots of potential at a bargain price!
So here we are a few months out of college, learning all we can about balancing work at work, work at home, marriage, and a demanding fluffy cat named Chaucer while fixing up our house and sharing our progress and other DIY projects. We love Lowe's, thrift stores, garage sales, and used furniture with a story.
